Prep Your Skin For Diwali: 1 Ingredient DIY Face Masks

Hey Guys!

Diwali is around the corner and it is time to start taking care of our skin, using faec masks, haldi and what not to get that perfect glow for the festival season.

Today I am sharing with you 5 masks, using just one ingredient plus water that will help you in getting that flawless face. You can apply one mask once or week or apply all the 5 masks one for each day of the week. Each mask helps in catering to different skin care problems so you can use one everyday without damaging your skin. So lets start.

1 Sugar

Crush some sugar cubes until they are really fine and then mix them with a little water. Apply it all over your face especially your nose, and then rub it. Sugar acts as a great exfoliator and would help you get rid of those stubborn blackheads, leaving you with smooth skin with no bumps.

2 Neem Leaves

Take some neem leaves and put it in a mixer/ grinder along with just a splash of water. You can add more later. Mix it until it forms a thick paste which resembles a chutney. Apply it all over your face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then wash it off with water. Neem contains anti bacterial properties and it will kill all the bacteria and purify your face. Plus it will also get rid of pimple causing germs and will also reduce acne.

3 Oats

Grind some oats in a mixer until its soft and the granules are not very grainy. Then mix them with water and apply it all over your face. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes then wash it off with cool water. Oats has anti inflammatory ingredients that will soothe itchy and irritated skin, help in maintaining the ph level plus it absorbs oil from the skin so it is also great for people who have acne prone skin.

4 Cocoa Powder

This might be a little messy. Take a spoonful of cocoa powder in a bowl and mix it with water. It takes a while to mix cocoa powder so keep mixing it until it turns into a dark brown colour with ganache like consistency. Yes you might be tempted to have a taste of it but don’t. Use the back of your spoon to apply this mask all over your face. Let it dry and then wash it off and you will instantly see that your skin looks brighter. Cocoa powder helps in tightening your skin and face and fights premature wrinkles.

5 Papaya Skin

Take a whole papaya and cut off its skin. Now divide the papaya skin into small square like shapes and use two of those squares for your face. Massage the papaya skin on your face for 10 minutes and then let the mask stay for another 10 minutes then wash it off with water. Papaya helps in healing the skin and helps diminish scars and blemishes, making your face look flawless for Diwali.

PS: Before you apply any of these masks on your face I recommend you to do a patch test on your hands to make sure that you are not allergic to any of these products.

Well I hope you enjoyed this blog. I have started applying these masks everyday on my face and trust me I have seen the results. They really work. Do let me know if these masks help you. Also share with me what other DIY masks you guys use as I would love to try them all.

XOXO
