Ground Zero

When his skin caressed mine

I became a spiralling star

Losing hold on it’s own gravity

He made me look inside myself

While he floated around like a silent angel

Gently kissing my hair

And spots only he knew tickled my bones

He had me at the tip of his fingers

But instead of holding onto me

He let me slip and fall

Fall harder than I ever had in my life

His breath in my lungs started to poison my blood

My skin refused to belong to me once again

Magical as he was

He brought me back to ground zero

And I can’t forgive him for that
