How To Take Care of Light Colored Shoes

Are you someone who loves wearing white or any light-colored shoes/sneakers but refrain from doing so often so that your precious shoes do not get dirty?

I was one of those people but then I just bought a pair of white shoes! Gradually I learnt how to take care of them and started buying shoes in other light colors. There are so many ways to keep your shoes look brand new every time you put them on. I know the chances of them getting spoiled is high but worry not I have got your back!

Here are some of my top picks on how to take care of your shoes

IN THE BOX

This is what I do with all of my footwear. You can store them in the box they came in or simply use a plastic bag. Keeping your shoes in a box helps not only in protecting them from stains but also from loosing its shape. I know box takes up a lot of space but at least my shoes are safe.

USE WHITE NAIL POLISH

You may sometimes observe some minor scratches on your shoes which are impossible to get rid of using a wet cloth. Instead apply a coat of white nail polish (in case of white shoes) on the scratches and see how it works as a concealer.

CLEAN WITH WET CLOTH

Just before wearing your shoes, clean them with a wet cloth to get rid of any mud or dirt that was on it from its previous use. This only takes 2 minutes but makes your shoes look super clean.

AVOID WEARING IT ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT

It is better to avoid wearing light colored shoes on public transport as they will get stepped on thus ruining them.

CARRY WET WIPES/WET TISSUES

It is good to always carry some wet wipes with you so that if something spills on your shoes or if you notice a large stain, you can go to the washroom and wipe it off.

How do you take care of your shoes? Do let me know!
